Promote sites selected by local residents as areas of "significant interest" and reveal the histories and personal stories of the Rockaway community. Come explore the Rockaway Peninsula on one of our upcoming bike tours!
RockspotNYC was established by the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance as a community- led collaborative to promote public waterfront access and to raise a greater appreciation for New York City's longest and most spectacular waterfront.
All the sites on this tour were selected by local residents as sites of "significant interest" and reveal the histories and personal stories of the Rockaway community.
There are three ways to take part in the Rockaway NYC Bike Tours:
Explore on your own. Print out the Rockspot Pocket Map (download below) and explore the sites by walking or biking the sites to create your own Rockspot tour!
Listen & Discover. While on tour, dial (347) 422-7952 on your phone and enter the RockSpot site code e.g. (H109) to hear audio recording about each site. Download the map below for site code numbers for each site.
Join us for a Guided Tour. To learn more about specific sites along the Rockaway Peninsula register for a tour with an experienced guide. For a list of upcoming tours and events visit our Events Page.
