2017 Rockaway Bike Parade

TIME: Saturday, June 17th,  11:00AM - 4:00PM
LOCATION: RISE, 58-03 Rockaway Beach Blvd (B59th St), Far Rockaway, NY 11692

Join us for the 6th Annual Rockaway Bike Parade to celebrate the Rockaway community and healthy living! Walk, dance and bike your way along the Rockaway Boardwalk. We encourage individuals, school groups, and organizations to join in the festivities.

This years theme is "Reuse & Recycle." Parade participants are encouraged to create something fun and festive from recycled materials to wear in the parade. Starting at 11AM, the roadway at Beach 59th St will be closed for participants to work on decorating bikes, costumes and finalizing details on their floats.

The parade will depart at 2 PM from the RISE Center and travel to the Beach Boardwalk at B97th St where trophies will be awarded for the "Best of Show" award competition taking place at 3 PM. There will be three awards given by the Judges for the Individual Adult, Individual Child, and Group Category. 

The parade is FREE however all participants are required to register in advance and sign in at the beginning of the parade. Children under 14 must have a parent or guardian present with them on the parade and sign their waiver on the day of the event.

Meet Jadel
