TIME: CANCELLED April 3, 2016, 11AM to 3PM
LOCATION: Michaelis Bayswater Park - Beach 32nd St & Beach Channel Drive
Public Transit Directions: Take A train (Far Rockaway) to Beach 35th St station. Walk one block to the park and meet at the Comfort Station.
Come join RWA and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation for a community volunteer day to do trail maintenance and clean up the shoreline.
We will be clearing and beautifying an overgrown trail along Jamaica Bay in Michaelis Bayswater Park. Adults and children alike are welcome to participate in this event. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and close toed shoes.
Registration is not required, but students looking to do community service hours are encouraged to bring paperwork from their schools.
Jadel participated in her first RWA program as a 7th grader at PS43. Through high school she has been a valuable contributor to our ongoing efforts and today she continues to work with us as a practicing intern while she attends Hunter College. Hear more about Jadel's story.
