Rebuilt & Recovered? Sandy Stories from Rockaway

TIME: Sunday, October 25th, 2:00 - 4:30 pm
LOCATION: RISE (Firehouse 59), 5803 Rockaway Beach Blvd

To honor the three year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, please join us for a powerful storytelling event brought to you by the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance, the Moth, and the Field Innovation Team (FIT), which will reflect on the Sandy recovery effort and aftermath. Through the shared experiences and storytelling of local Rockaway community members, we will explore both the successes and failures in the recovery effort, while also drawing attention to the widespread issues of diminishing aid that inevitably come after disasters fade from public attention.

Free to public, advanced registration not required.

The moth will be leading a workshop series for those interested in participating in this event as a story teller. Email info@rwalliance.org for more information.
