Washed Ashore Art Exhibition

TIME: Sunday, June 12th, 11-1 PM
LOCATION: RISE Center, 58-03 Rockaway Beach Blvd (B59th St)

We encourage families, students and the general public to join us for the public opening of this exciting inaugural show at the Rockaway Institute for a Sustainable Environment (RISE).

The large scale murals in this exhibit were created by local youth in the RWA Living Classroom program using trash and recycled debris collected off the shores of the Rockaway Peninsula to raise awareness of the problem of shoreline pollution.

The opening will also include music and hands on activities for kids and families.

This program is brought to you by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
