The Shore Corps Program is the biggest of our teen programs, and it provides high school students with a broad yet thorough opportunity to develop their community advocacy, environmental stewardship, and leadership skills.

The summer program specifically also offers students comprehensive job training skills, as each Shore Corps member is assigned to a local business as an employee-in-training for their morning hours.

In the afternoon, summer participants partake in outdoors environmental conservation and community service projects. In addition, all students are offered the opportunity to partake in CPR and water safety trainings, as well as outdoor recreational activities such as biking, swimming, kayaking, and surfing. All activities take place in a safe and supportive environment.

Students must be available to work Mondays - Thursdays from July 1st to August 9th, 2019.

The Shore Corps Summer Program serves as a platform for teens to cultivate a road map for their high school and post-high school journeys, as they are exposed to ideas and activities that are new for many of them. The program allows them to develop their leadership skills in such a way that they can inspire change in their community, especially through other youth.

Students who are turning 14 by July 1st and are entering into any high school grade in September 2019 are eligible to apply by submitting the online application. This application MUST be completed by April 5th, 2019 to be included in the selection process. Students will be contacted by April 9th for interviews. All students in the Shore Corps Summer Program will receive community service hours for their participation.
