Food Rx is a new initiative that connects people who are Medicaid-Eligible and diagnosed with Type II Diabetes to locally-grown, organic produce. If eligible, you'll receive one season of the RISE Farm Share FOR FREE, along with exclusive access to educational programming to help you eat healthier.

How does it work?

Start the conversation: Visit a participating provider who can verify your eligibility and write you a prescription.

Learn the Basics: Between now and June attend our FREE Cook and Chat classes to learn about different nutrition topics and recipes to help you eat healthier. Click here to see upcoming classes and register.

Pick Up Fresh Food Weekly: Between June 5th and November 13th, visit RISE (58-03 Rockaway Beach Blvd), every Wednesday from 4-7 PM for your veggies.

Meet Keneisha
